We have 6 private cabañas perched above the sand, all offering ocean views. The cabañas are comfy, airy and private, providing you with ideal beachfront accommodation. Each cabaña has a private patio, hammock, and sink.

Common Areas

Guests share kitchen, dining and bathroom facilities. The fully equipped kitchen will have you feeling right at home. The hot showers are a surprising treat after a day of surf. We provide both the privacy you need and the space to hang out if you’re feeling social.

You’ll feel a direct connection to the ocean from the comfort of your own cabaña. Each room has a view to the horizon.

Private Cabañas

The rooms have been built with purpose to maximize your comfort and privacy. Three large screened in windows allow the consistent breeze to blow through while the louvered doors provide airflow and privacy.

The Terrace

At the heart of the property is the beachfront terrace. This shared space is at your disposal: enjoy your morning cup of Nicaraguan coffee, sip a cocktail as you watch the sunset or roll out your mat and practice yoga.

Full kitchen

This full kitchen is designed for the traveler who likes to cook. Groceries are available nearby but for longer stays, we recommend stocking up in Rivas or Managua. A fruit truck passes by a few times each week and other essentials are available by delivery, foot or tuk-tuk.

Is there a restaurant at SUYO?

We don't have an onsite restaurant, but we do have a fully equipped kitchen, and spacious dining area for our guests to utilize. There is also a variety of neighboring restaurants in the area if you wish to venture for a meal out.

Where can I buy groceries?

If you're travelling from a city we recommend purchasing some essentials and bringing them with you. There are several small grocery stores in the area. Vegetable trucks will stop by daily with fresh produce. Meat and fish can be purchased locally and we will have a meat delivery truck stop by the hotel a couple times per week.

Do the cabañas have bathrooms?

The cabañas feature beds, lamps, fans, 3 shutter windows for maximum airflow, a private patio, a hammock, and a nook sink for face washing, and brushing teeth. However, they do not have their own bathrooms. There are well kept, and fully stocked high end community bathrooms available for our guests.

Is there a bank or ATM nearby?

There is a bank located in Riviera Market, an ATM can be found at Ferreteria Ibarra, as well as in Rancho Santana. We recommend withdrawing a good portion of expected expenditures from the ATM closest to you before travelling to the coast.

Do I need a vehicle?

It depends on your travel plans. You can easily reach SUYO via public transportation(opens in new tab), or taxi. There are also several amazing surf breaks and solid restaurants within walking distance of our cabañas, so renting a vehicle is absolutely not necessary. However, if you are looking to get out and explore the region a bit more, we recommend renting a truck, SUV(opens in new tab), or motorcycle. There are rental locations both at the airport, and also in the Tola region. We can provide more details upon request.

Do you have internet?

We have a great wireless connection throughout the property, a battery backup, and generator in case of power outages. You'll be able to work and attend video calls reliably.

How are the waves?

You'll be blown away by the multitude of different waves throughout the area. There are beach breaks, point breaks, reef breaks everywhere you turn. Whether you're learning or have been surfing for years the Popoyo area has got you covered.
