Spreading positive vibes
Owner Ali Kearney came to Nicaragua in 2010 from Canada having completed a degree in Landscape Architecture. She was hired to run the department and design the landscapes of many of the facilities in Rancho Santana. While working full time at Santana, she realized that she needed to start a business to generate some passive income. A friend had recently purchased on the beach, so she bought a lot as well.
She realized that she had to build out of wood. Wood cabanas capture the essence of beach vibes in a way that concrete never can. The palms thatch was a must, too! She used her design background to devise a plan for SUYO that would provide everything a traveler would need to be comfortable. Construction was completed, and the doors opened in August 2016.
A decade later, SUYO is thriving thanks to its dedicated team and happy guests.
